He is a frequent speaker on a variety of numismatic subjects, and has served on the adjunct faculty of the State University of New York as instructor in numismatics. Panitch has been involved in the field since presenting a talk on the subject of mint errors to the Albany Numismatic Society in 1962, at eight years of age.
